Biographical Profile
Dr. Healy earned his Bachelor's degree in psychology from Fairfield University. He also holds a Master's degree and a Doctorate in clinical psychology from Syracuse University and received his initial training as a family therapist at Hutchings Psychiatric Center in Syracuse, New York. He also worked as an Associate Clinical Psychologist at both the Oswego County Community Mental Health Center and the Mental Health Division of the Oswego Hospital (Oswego, New York) in addition to serving as Staff Psychologist at the Community Child Guidance Clinic in Manchester, Connecticut.

Dr. Healy has been in private practice for over nineteen years. He feels that the family systems perspective which he employs in his work with individuals, couples and families is summarized very well in a book entitled The Family Crucible, co-authored by Augustus Napier, Ph.D. and Carl Whitaker, M.D.
